This year, especially this summer, I have found my grove. We all go through reading slumps, highs and lows. August has been my biggest month thus far, but thanks to nap time and sports practices I’m able to read a lot more. I’ve also found audio books on Kindle that I’m able to listen to while I’m on my daily walks! Another thing I’ve changed: adding more genres. I never thought I’d enjoy Romantasy books, but I’ve really enjoyed reading them. They are easy, fun books to take you away from everyday stress. And the best part – A LOT of them are available on Kindle Unlimited!!

August 2024

  • “A Court of Frost and Starlight” by Sarah J. Maas: A short novella in the Court of Thorns series that isn’t necessary to read but is a super fast easy read. Currently rated 3.7 stars on Goodreads.
  • “A Court of Silver Flames” by Sarah J. Maas: Final book in the Court of Thorns series (there will be another book released at some point!) Super awesome Romantasy book series. Currently rated 4.5 stars on Goodreads.
  • “The War Orphan” by Anna Stuart: part of the women of war series. This is a lovely historical fiction book with such love and hope! Currently available on Kindle Unlimited and 4.4 stars on Goodreads.
  • “The Lost Bookshop” by Evie Woods: Cute Historical Fiction/Fantasy book and easy read. Currently available on Kindle Unlimited and rated 4.1 on Goodreads.
  • “Pretty Girls” by Karen Slaughter: A very high intense mystery, thriller, suspense book that kept me on my toes the entire series. This is a pretty intense book! Currently available on Kindle Unlimited and rated 4 stars on Goodreads.
  • “Court of Winter” by Krista Street: first book in the Fae of Snow and Ice series. Romantasy book/series currently available on Kindle Unlimited and rated 4.1 stars on Goodreads.
